Alpesh Patwari was introduced to yoga by his mother, Manjula Devi, whose life of Bhakti, Karma and Jnana yoga shaped his path. From the age of 12 he managed childhood epilepsy through yoga and breathing techniques learned from Jain monks — the experience that made yoga his life’s work.
He went on to study in Pune and Rishikesh in the Sivananda and Satyananda lineages, and since 2006 has trained in the Iyengar tradition under Usha Devi in Rishikesh. That alignment-first, therapeutic approach — precise postures, props, and adjustments that make every pose safe for every body — is the backbone of teaching at Alpesh Yoga.
Founder of Alpesh Yoga, he is internationally recognized for his expertise in yoga teacher training, anatomy, pranayama, meditation, and holistic wellness. His teaching combines traditional yogic wisdom with modern techniques to help students improve their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
