How you actually get to each campus
To Arambol, Goa
From Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth you will connect once, usually through a Gulf hub or Singapore, into Goa (GOI) or into Mumbai and on by a short domestic hop. Perth is the shortest run of the four. Arambol is roughly an hour and a half north of the airport by taxi.
To Bhagsu, Dharamshala
Fly into Delhi, then either a short domestic flight to Gaggal (DHM), forty minutes from the shala, or the overnight bus to McLeod Ganj. The bus is what most travellers take, and it is worth arriving a day early rather than going straight from a long-haul flight into altitude.
Visa
Your Indian visa
Australian passport holders can apply for the Indian e-Visa online, without visiting a consulate. A tourist e-Visa is the right category for a teacher training — you are studying at a private school, not enrolling in an Indian university. Apply once your dates are confirmed rather than months ahead: the validity runs from the date granted, not from the date you arrive.
Timing
When to come
Our batches run October to March, which lines up well with the Australian summer break and the end-of-year shutdown. That window is also when Goa is at its best — dry, warm, and the reason the season exists. If you can only travel in the Australian winter, that is the Indian monsoon and neither campus runs its main courses then.
The honest answer
Is a training in India recognised back home?
What studios ask for is the Yoga Alliance credential, not the country it was earned in. We are a Yoga Alliance registered school, so a 200-hour completion here registers as RYT-200 the same as one earned in Byron Bay. The difference is the price and the immersion: a residential month in India costs a fraction of the equivalent Australian course, and you are not fitting it around a job.
Fees are charged in USD. AUD amounts you see elsewhere are indicative only — your bank sets the rate on the day.

Which campus tends to suit you
Australians often already have beach-town practice culture, so Arambol tends to feel familiar and Dharamshala tends to feel like the bigger change. Both are a long way from home — if you are making the trip once, consider whether you want the mountains.
